Marvel Heroes 2016: January
The new updated version brings more content to the free to play ARPG which includes a new story based on the Secret Invasion comic from 2008. Controller support is also coming to the game for Steam controllers and Xbox controllers.
The game’s visuals will also be updates, especially with the character models, and leaderboards are finally coming to the game which always prove popular with the ARPG audience.
February 2016
XCOM 2 (Firaxis): 5 February
Like XCOM, but with more terrifying snake-creatures. Oh, and the aliens have taken over Earth, so now you play as freedom fighters/terrorists causing as much bother as you can to the occupying force. A new Ranger class of soldier, melee combat, a mobile base and more will be present in this turn-based strategy sequel. It’s a PC exclusive, so expect lovely mod support too.
Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 (CyberConnect2): 4 February
Naruto has finally reached its conclusion, which means that it’s time for an Ultimate Ninja Storm game that’ll let you complete the saga yourself. Expect traditional one-on-one battles, set-piece events, giant monsters, and all the ninja combat you can hope for. Will it be the last Naruto game? Considering the popularity of the franchise, I really doubt it.

Dying Light Enhanced Edition: 6 February
There are many and various combinations of how current owners of the original can wind up with Enhanced, but the short version is this: if you get ‘The Following’ (either through purchase or free with the Season Pass), you’ll also get the improvements of Dying Light: Enhanced Edition. Dying Light: Enhanced Edition bundles up all of the DLCs (including The Following) and prior freebie updates like the Nightmare Difficulty mode, then adds a few more things as well.
March 2016
Far Cry: Primal (UbiSoft): 1 March
Far Cry Primal will be in-keeping with the open world sandbox style of the series, and is described as a “full-fledged” single player game. You’ll be playing as Takkar, a final surviving member of an unfortunate hunting group. He’ll be trying to survive, by mastering fire, hunting for food (sorry, mammoths), fending off sabre-toothed cats, crafting weapons (presumably of the Stone Aged melee and bow type), and clashing with other tribes in the land of Oros.

Hitman (IO Interactive): 11 March
If you thought Absolution was a bit nob, don’t worry – IO Interactive are practically falling over themselves to talk about how this Hitman reboot will go back to a save system (no checkpoints,) much larger, sandbox-y levels, and a disguise system that makes a bit more sense. About the only things set to return from the prior game are Contracts mode and pretty graphics.
The Division (Ubisoft): March 2016
Ubisoft hasn’t had a great track record with big budget titles of late, so we hope they don’t mess this one up. It’s due in March 2016. It also probably won’t look as good as the image above.
Gigantic (Motiga): Beta test started – Delayed until 2016
James Phinney of Guild Wars fame is back in action with his new studio, and although Gigantic might look like just another MOBA, it changes things up a bit with the inclusion of huge monsters which the teams need to protect. Alpha testing is already under way for this one, but the full thing is due next year. The release date was pushed back to 2016 on December 5th.
Street Fighter V (Capcom): March 2016
Prepare to start frame-counting (if you’re a pro) or button mashing (if you’re ultra casual) some time in March of 2016. There’ll also be cross-platform play so PS4 and PC people can compete to see who is the ultimate street fightin’ man (or woman.)
