Twitch has finally released their new Desktop App (119Mb) which means you can now do all that Twitch stuff outside of a browser.
Twitch users can now watch their stream, VODs, clips, Â and spam chat windows in this new special app which promises faster performance than the browser version. Twitch has gone a step further with the App adding in voice, video calls, Â a dark mode, servers and friend sync.
This is a new way to communicate with other Twitch users who may prefer to use this over something like Discord or even Skype. There are now so many choices for gamers when it comes to communicating, but as it’s all-encompassing, it might be a step too far for some. The beauty of something like Discord is that it’s uncluttered and it does the job so whether twitch can squash the competition remains to be seen.
Don’t forget you can join PC Invasion on Discord, we have no intention of moving over to Twitch any time soon as Discord is already testing their video chat which is expected to roll out next month.
