Cloud Imperium has now released the Hangar Module for Star Citizen.

Backers who have ploughed sufficient funds into the space sim can now log in on the official website. Click the Star Citizen button at the op of the page and click the newly highlighted Hangar Module link. Now backers must have a package that includes game access to download the module but alpha access is not required to get started.

Depending on what ship was purchased when you backed the game, it should now be sitting in your Hangar.

An FAQ is also available on the download page should there be any outstanding questions.

It’s worth noting that if you get the “Not authorised” message it’s because their servers are getting hit hard. Keep trying, it will go.

The download is 32Mb is size with a 3GB patch. You will also need the following to run it.

  • Windows Vista, Windows 7 or Windows 8
  • DirectX 11 graphics card with 1GB Video RAM
  • Quad core CPU
  • 8GB Memory
